Different plants and animals live in different local environments. There are also differences in the number of spicies that live in different environments.

Environmental damage is not just caused by industry in urban areas. In rural areas, fertilisers may run off fields into water couses, this causes an overgrowth of plant material which reduces the nutrients in the water for animals that live in it.

LIGHT AND DARK
A light source is something that makes light.
There are many different sources of light. The most important is the Sun
Most electronic screens produce light.
Anything that contains any kind of ligth bulb also produces light.
People often think that the Moon, water, mirrors, other shiny surfases and high-visibility clothing are also sources of light. However, none of these objects are light sources- they all reflect light rather than make it. The Moon, for example, reflects light from the Sun.
You probably don’t think much about light and dark. After all, you can turn on a switch and the lights go on. Even in the middle of the night, you can have light.
Two hundred years ago, though, people were very aware of light and dark. They worked during the day when the Sun was shining. As the sun went down, they used candles or oil lamps to see. However, these lights were dim.
Outside, there were no street lights. The only light available came from the moon and stars. Night was very, very dark. People usually went to bed when the sun went down and woke up early.

Some materials change when they are heated. Here are some examples:
1. When you make a cake or biscuits the ingredients are mixed together and then placed in the oven, where they bake and become something you can eat.

When ice is warmed it changes into water.
Preparate para exponer el concepto que te corresponde (Bend, Twist, Stretch, Squash) y traer tres ejemplos de este. Debes traer tu exposiciones una cartulina y los materiales para mostrar los tres ejemplos.

Para esta nueva semana tendremos nuevas aventuras en nuestra asignatura.
Tu misión si decides aceptarla es la de hacer una oral presentation sobre TYPES OF SOILS, NATURAL MATERIALS AND MAN MADE MATERIALS:
Para esto necesitaras:
1: Estudiar los tipos de soil, los natural materiasls and man made materials, los cuales se encuentran en tu cuaderno y en las paginas 20, 21, 22 and 23 de tu texto guía.
2: Tambien debes llevar a la clase los siguientes materiales.
A: Un frasco mediano de plastic. En caso de que no lo tengas puedes llevar un frasco mediano de glass.
B: Una bolsa pequeña llena de SAND.
C: Una bolsa pequeña llena de CLAY sin preparar.
D: Una bolsa pequeña llena de SMALL ROCKS.
E: Una bolsa pequeña llena de tierra de color café.
F: Una bolsa pequeña llena de pasto o hierba.
